Situated on 75 acres of rolling Maine woodland, this home takes advantage of the landscape while seeking to blend in with its careful use of materials and finishes. A series of nine interlocking cubes, the house provides the owners with a seemingly never ending change in ceiling heights, floor elevations and intersecting planes. The use of natural woods, fieldstone, brick, slate, and glass help to extend the feeling provided by the site, to the interior environment. Platz Associates acted as architect, engineer and construction manager on this project.
